I finally got around to starting my yearly double check of the binders, and I figured out how to make gifs in GIMP. While this may not seem particularly useful at first glance(in the case of short-prints with the smallest of differences – in particular the sparkle variations), check this out:
Look at the batting gloves in his back pocket. There’s a slight noticeable starburst/lens flare. While I can’t control for the faded quality of the scan, as I don’t have the sparkle variation myself, an assist from TradingCardDB came in handy. Making these are pretty easy, you can obviously customize the time between image frames. One second seems to do the trick for the job. Try it for yourself, and share in the comments?
